RFQ Notes

Please confirm whether 304L, sanitary finish, internal polishing, pickling and passivation, pressure testing, NDT or mill test certificate is required. Fluid or pressure service should include the target standard and inspection requirements.

Procurement Guidance

304 stainless steel pipe is often the first material to evaluate for general industrial projects because it balances corrosion resistance, weldability and market availability. Buyers commonly use it for equipment frames, processing lines, building components, water treatment systems and fabricated parts that need dependable stainless performance without the higher cost of 316.

When the pipe will be welded, polished or used in a visible installation, include finish expectations and post-weld treatment in the RFQ. When it will carry fluid, include the medium, temperature, pressure, connection method and inspection standard so the quotation can distinguish decorative tubing from industrial pipe.
